The animation series which is popular during the Ramadan fasting month is produced by a Malaysian under Les’ Copaque Produciton Snd. Bhd.
Upin & Ipin is about two twin brothers aged 5. It tells the story of their first experience fasting during the month of Ramadan. It is told from their own perspective in a simple, humorous and entertaining way. Their grandmother, Opah and their sister, Kak Ros play the role of mentors in the series.
Although each episode only lasts 5 minutes, it is well know not only in Malaysia but also in Indonesia for its unique relaxed representation that captures the hearts of the audience while instilling moral values. Viewers are sure to be reminded of their childhood days and their experience of fasting for the first during Ramadan.
